I read the following the other day from Isaiah 30 and wondered how many times I am like a “stubborn child.”
“’Ah, stubborn children,’ declares the LORD, ‘who carry out a plan, but not mine…who set out…without asking for my direction…In returning and rest you shall be saved; in quietness and in trust shall be your strength…’” (Isaiah 30:1a, 2a, 15b)
Sometimes I work really hard and fast, but seem to accomplish nothing. These verses seem to indicate that doing God’s will is found in the opposite: returning to ask for direction, resting, being quiet, and trusting. I feel more peaceful just thinking about it!

I especially like the last line of that verse “in quietness and in trust shall be your strength” As a mom I need that sometimes every moment of my day. Enjoy your blog a lot!!

Thanks, Rebecca! The first time I read that verse after becoming a mom, I copied it into my prayer journal. It does help, doesn’t it? 🙂
