I am a follower of Christ, wife to a godly husband, and a biological and adoptive mother of seven delightful children, ages 15, 14, 12, 11, 10, 9, and 4. My mission is to serve Christ in all things, no matter how mundane or lofty, with simple diligence so that at the end of my life I will hear, “Well done, good and faithful servant.” I want to “tend to things temporal with a mind on things eternal.”
Some of my goals are a “heavenly” marriage, a Christ-centered family, God-made food, natural living, old-fashioned homemaking, Proverbs 31 home management, balanced homeschooling, looking feminine, glorifying God through music (especially singing as a family), and filtering everything through Scripture.
One of my goals in writing this blog is to (without appearing perfect, because I’m NOT), encourage other moms who may be in the thick of mothering and feeling tired or not particularly successful. I hope to share ideas that have worked for my family without making anyone else feel guilty for not doing them! God is able to work mightily through and for those who trust Him! (Even though we often FEEL like complete failures!)
